About the Owner, Jeff Clay

Built on Faith, Experience, and Hard Work

With more than 35 years of experience in grading, excavation, paving, and heavy equipment operation across the United States, our founder built his career from the ground up, literally.

Starting with a shovel in hand in 1985, he learned the value of hard work, dedication, and doing every job right the first time. Through years of commitment and hands-on experience, he worked his way up from laborer to Foreman and Assistant Superintendent, overseeing projects from start to finish while earning the trust and respect of crews, contractors, and clients alike across the United States.

Over the course of his career, he has successfully completed housing developments, road construction, excavation and demolition projects, pipeline work, sidewalk grading, municipal infrastructure projects, finish grading, trenching, curb and gutter installation, asphalt paving operations, grade checking, plan analysis, and elevation layout. Having operated heavy equipment for over three decades, he brings a wealth of practical knowledge and precision to every project.

JEFF ON THE GROUND

Local knowledge you can trust

Jeff’s spent his whole life around dirt, and now he’s working the ground here in North Idaho. He knows timber edges, steep driveways, frozen clay, and short building seasons. All that know-how shows up in every grade he cuts.

He runs the Bobcat himself, walks the site with you, and flags frost, drainage, and access before a bucket hits dirt. You talk to the operator who knows the job, not a dispatcher reading a ticket.
